Hi, I’m Alexa Dan — the founder and creator behind StyletasteStudio. I’m passionate about all forms of personal expression, from the spaces we create in our homes to how we present ourselves through beauty and style. I started this website to share inspiration, practical advice, and honest recommendations across the areas of life where aesthetics and self-care intersect.

Where It All Began

My journey into lifestyle content creation started in 2019 when I moved into my first solo apartment. Coming from a background in digital marketing, I craved creative outlets that felt more tangible and personal. I found them in two unexpected places: transforming my living space and perfecting my at-home beauty routine.

That small apartment became my testing ground for everything — from furniture arrangements and color palettes to nail polish formulas and skincare routines. I discovered that creating beautiful environments and maintaining personal grooming rituals were both forms of self-care that significantly impacted my daily well-being.

The Dual Passion: Home & Beauty

While many people separate “home design” and “personal beauty” into completely different categories, I’ve always seen them as deeply connected. They’re both about creating the life you want to live — one focuses on your external environment, the other on your personal presentation. Both require attention to detail, an understanding of what works for your unique needs, and a willingness to experiment.

In 2020, during extended time at home, both interests intensified. I was simultaneously redesigning my bedroom for better sleep and teaching myself advanced nail art techniques. I was researching paint colors for my living room and testing new skincare products. The two pursuits fed each other — creating a beautiful home made me want to feel equally polished personally, and taking care of my appearance made me more aware of my surroundings.

Over the past six years, I’ve developed hands-on expertise in multiple areas:

I’ve learned what makes rooms functional, beautiful, and livable — especially when working with limited budgets and real-world constraints.

In beauty and personal care, I’ve spent five years testing products, refining techniques, and building knowledge about what actually works. From at-home manicures to skincare routines, I approach beauty with the same practical, research-driven mindset I bring to design.

Why I Created StyletasteStudio

I launched StyletasteStudio on April 23, 2025, to create a space that reflects how lifestyle actually works — not in separate silos, but as interconnected elements of creating a life you love.

In beauty, I gravitate toward neutral nails, natural-looking makeup, effective skincare, and that “polished but not overdone” vibe.
